In August 2025, the Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) edged down in the EU (-0.3 points to 94.9) and in the Euro Area (-0.5 points to 95.2).
The Employment Expectations Indicator (EEI) increased slightly compared to July (EU: +0.6 points to 98.1, Euro Area: +0.3 points to 97.8). Both indicators score below their long-term average of 100.
