15 October 2026

On the month, the production output is estimated to have grown by 0.8% in August 2026, this follows a rise of 0.3% in July 2026 (revised up from 0.2% in our previous publication), and a fall of 0.2% in June 2026 (unrevised from our previous publication).

This was driven by growths in manufacturing (up 1.2%), mining and quarrying (up 1.4%) and electricity, gas steam and air conditioning supply (up 0.1%). These growths were partially offset by a fall in water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (down 1.2%).
