The sentix economic index for the euro zone, calculated by the Frankfurt-based research house sentix, rose to -16.8 in December, its highest level since May 2023, from -18.6 in November. The sentix economic expectations for the euro zone rose for the third time in a row, albeit with a partial increase of 0.2 points, to -9.8. The current situation index, on the other hand, showed a more marked improvement with an increase of 3.3 points to -23.5.
